Documents can also be delivered by using drop boxes located outside our offices located at 84 Broad Street, 3rd Floor, and 100 Broad Street, Suite 469.

Judge Irv Condon has implemented electronic filing, called "EZ-Filing." For more information, read Administrative Order, Rules and EZ-Filing Instructions. To EZ-file a document in any case, click here. You are able to view all images on each case for which you create an EZ-Filing account, which enables you to easily keep up with the activities of the case.

Please note the Probate Estate Division Office, in the Historic Courthouse Building at 84 Broad, is temporarily relocating to the Blake Tenement Building at 10 Court House Square, Third Floor, Charleston, SC 29401. Commitment, Adult Guardianship and Conservatorship, and Marriage Divisions remain in Suite 469 of 100 Broad Street, Charleston, SC 29401. Mental Health Court

The Charleston County Mental Health Court is a grant-funded diversion program designed for mentally ill defendants arrested for misdemeanor and non-violent felony offenses.

Eligibility Requirements:

Defendant must have an identifiable mental illness such as bipolar affective disorder, schizophrenia, etc.
Must be able to understand the terms/conditions of the program
Must have committed a misdemeanor or non-violent felony offense
Resides in Charleston County
Must not have pending cases that would prevent them from completing the program

Exclusions:

The Supreme Court Order issued December 8, 2002, specifically states that no defendants charged with criminal domestic violence will be allowed in the program, nor will the charge be pled down. No defendants charged with a lewd act on a minor will be allowed entry. All victims shall be advised regarding a defendant's entry into or discharge from the program. The victim's position regarding entry into the program shall be considered, however they shall not have veto power.

Program Requirements:

Attend Mental Health Court on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at the Judicial Center
Attend all required treatment sessions
Abstain from any substance abuse
Attain and maintain employment if capable of working
Pay back all restitution that may be ordered with associated charges

Locations

Individual and group treatment sessions are held at the Mental Health Center, located at 2100 Charlie Hall Boulevard Charleston. Home visits are also a part of the program.
Court is held on Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. on the fourth floor of the Charleston County Judicial Center, 100 Broad Street, Suite 469, in downtown Charleston.
